Fall & Writing

Can't believe it's fall again. Kids are back to school and the leaves are starting to turn colour. The days are warm but the nights are definitely cool!

I've been involved in two major writing contests this summer. One I've been a coordinator for and the other just a judge. But it has made me appreciate all the work that goes into running these contests. I will try never to grumble again while waiting for results!

Speaking of contests, the GOLDEN HEART will soon be open for entries. My new goal is the finish my current manuscript in time to enter (mid October is my deadline). I'll have to buckle down and just keep writing. Seeing that I had a REALLY long dry spell from March to August without writing anything, I'm happy just not to be paralyzed in front of the screen.

The other thing I'm looking forward to is the release of the Twilight sequel, NEW MOON! I can't believe it's almost been a year since the first one came out. This one, from the look of the trailers, promises to be even better. Can't wait!

I wish everyone happy writing and a happy Fall!

Till next time, Sue

Hi, Sue, I can't wait for New Moon's release too. Also, I finally got around to adding names to all the pictures from conference. Sorry it took so long, life is busy as you well know. Good luck with your mid Oct. goal. You can do it!!!!

Wow, Sue! Coordinating a contest is quite an undertaking. On behalf of all the entrants, I thank you. You've given a huge gift to others on the journey to publication, which shows what a generous, thoughtful person you are. :D

Hope you're writing is going well and that you get that manuscript finished in time for the GH.

Oooh. The recovering perfectionist in me can't believe I didn't catch that typo. I do hope your writing is going well. :-)
